On New Year's Day
I heard there was gonna be a party -- Texas style.
I don't know how long you guys are planning to stay, but I can ask to be off on Jan. 2 and possibly the 3rd, if need be. (Amazingly, I don't have to work on New Year's Day!!)
So, should I ask off for the 3rd, too, or are you guys all going home on the 2nd?

Team blogging
I think I have found a way for us each to blog on this page using our own identity. All that needs to happen is that melissa should go into the easy cow settings and click on permissions. Then she needs to send each of us (except me since I have done it already) an invitation to join. Then an email will appear in our inbox. We then create our own google account and begin posting on the Easycow blog as easy as that...
Bringing home the bacon

Well 84 lbs of ground deer went into the freezer this morning along with 10 packages of steaks and 3 lbs of tenderloins. I didnt even know that deer tenderloins got that big. This is by far the largest deer I have ever taken. The rack was 16 inches across inside and the animal weighed over 200 lbs field dressed. The wind chill that morning was below zero and it was sleeting before we dragged him out, which in itself was no easy task at nearly 3/4 of a mile along this lake bank. The deer up here are huge and I am looking foward to next fall....
Book report
Nate you should check out 1812 the Rivers of War by Eric Flint. It is a well written alternate history based around Ensign Sam Houston not being horribly injured leading his famous charge against the Creek. The story line is believable with a great portrait of the childish temper and devilish cunning of Andrew Jackson. In addition the battles are as finely wraught as any I have come across in the fiction arena. 1824 the Arkansas War is a sequel that I will pick up soon. Dave are you still playing guitar? If so, I may have a book for you as well....
Pleeeeeeease, mom...can I help?

Designing anything is made only more fun with the addition of a feline. I don't know what it is about paper, but they love it! Loki decided to help me design a wedding invitation. He wasn't really that much help...he fell asleep after about 3 minutes.
Hope all is well. :) Thought I'd share a giggle.

The first post is the deepest

We got a blog. We got a blog. We got a blog, hey, hey, hey, hey.
Things are much warmer than they were a few days ago here in Tiny Pebble. Just to get the ball rolling, here is a sunset picture from the bottom of the Burns Park mountain bike trail. Melissa won't let me post the much better pictures from the top of the trail because they are already on our blog. (sigh)
