Guild Wars
You folks remember back in the day when we played LAN Diablo? Great fun, eh? I have just recently tried out Guild Wars. There seems to be a possibility for such interaction on a stable Network for us, if anyone is interested. It is different from most MMORPG in that quests can be completed in short time periods, like an hour or so, and one can take his character into this game world without worrying about some jackass killing it and taking the gold peices. Check out the website and see if you may be interested in starting up a thursday night game.

Can you play with just people you select (like Easy Cows)? How much does it cost? I looked briefly, but didn't have a chance to go in too deep.
Cheers,
Yes you only play with the people you select. For instance we would meet in a "town" where players from all over the world are located, but there is no playing in this "town" only buying suplies, etc. We would select our easy cow party, and off we would head into the map area which is created specifically for our party. i.e. noone from outside the easy cow club is permitted--this omits the jackass playerkillers that were so common in diablo. The game costs about 29$ but online play is free (another good point about it).
